It's another fig grown at the Becnel family farm in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, for many years Reportedly an Italian heirloom fig that was found in the New Orleans area. I was supposed to be the Becnel family's second favorite fig, right after Smith.
I have been growing it for about 3 years. For me it is a slow grower. But that might be where I have it planted. It produces a large, tight eyed, very dark black fig. The few that I get are very good!
