[/color][/font][color=#889][font="][size=18.75px]These are our first fruits from Panevino. This tree originated as a cutting obtained from another collector. There are two versions of Panevino, a black and a white one, each discovered by Bass at Trees of Joy at a now defunct restaurant in Pennsylvania. The trees there were grown unprotected so this is considered to be a cold hardy selection. This appears to be the white version which was uncertain at the time it was acquired. The fig was sweet with a pleasant mild flavor. As can be seen, one of the figs was probably picked a day later than ideal but most of the fruit was still worth eating[/size][/font][/color]
